(more…)I’m not really good at maintaining traditions, but I read so often about how beneficial it is to have seasonal traditions and rhythm. We don’t have many abrupt colors in our home. Our furniture and sheets are all light or neutrals, but I found this old set of beautiful garnet red sheets while going through boxes last spring.

(more…)With the exception of a few major holidays, my husband and I are not much into celebrating holidays. Valentine’s Day fits into those holidays that we don’t generally celebrate. Usually, we will go out to eat together a few days before or after the day, but gift exchanges are not part of our tradition. With that stated, I’ve been trying to do a better job at employing fun traditions that my children can enjoy and remember as they grow.
