(more…)As weeks go on, I’ve seen and experienced more and more name calling. The most common current slogans are “you are selfish” or “you are privileged”.
Before you call someone “selfish” or “privileged”, check YOUR privilege.
The big hashtag this lent has been #paschainthedesert, and what a desert it’s been. The multitudes of faithful Christians–especially in America–have been without the sacraments. It’s been a difficult journey and time, but my faith has been renewed and invigorated by priests who have so bravely refused to allow the fear of plague to discontinue the Divine Liturgy and giving of our life-giving sacraments to the faithful.
The Church has been tested with fire (1 Corinthians 3:10-23 & Proverbs 17:3). We are being purified.
