This is what it’s been leading to. When we give an inch to Executive Orders that defy true government and true law, they take a mile. Governor Newsom has now forbidden singing and chanting in California churches. Continuing to “protest”, that’s fine—as long as your protests isn’t aimed at protesting the lock-downs or mandatory mask executive orders.(more…)
As weeks go on, I’ve seen and experienced more and more name calling. The most common current slogans are “you are selfish” or “you are privileged”.
Before you call someone “selfish” or “privileged”, check YOUR privilege.
We can argue about the effectiveness of masks, because there are also studies showing that masks (particularly cloth masks) are only up to 3% effective in stopping the spread of Coronavirus when worn by an infected person with symptoms. It is ineffective for healthy people in stopping the spread as well as in preventing the reception since we can get droplets into our eyes. Scientific data even suggests that masks being worn by healthy people make them MORE susceptible a myriad of infections since they are frequently adjusting their masks and touching their faces with dirty hands.(more…)
I would argue that the most troubling and obvious issue plaguing Christianity today is the fear of death. Coronavirus has ripped cover off that secret. It’s been exposed and there is no hiding this terrible and shameful fact. We, the people of the resurrection are afraid, nay, terrified of inevitable death. Our treasures have been stored here in our temporal life and we shake our fists when an aged person beyond 80 years old dies. “It isn’t fair,” we cry in anger. It is as though we believe that death is a punishment and that earth is heaven.(more…)
